Segundo informações do Rodrigo Mattos em seu blog, o Flamengo negocia com um novo patrocinador master para o Manto Sagrado. A marca em questão, segundo o Globoesporte.com, é a Amazon, a empresa mais valiosa do mundo e que não tem histórico de patrocinar clubes de futebol. O valor é maior do que os R$ 15 milhões garantidos do banco de forma fixa, e pode chegar até ao dobro deste valor. O clube informou ao atual patrocinador, o BS2 e agora avalia o que foi apresentado.

Não há nada fechado e assinado ainda, mas há a possibilidade de uma troca. Desta forma, a Diretoria irá negociar com a BS2 para que eles possam continuar o patrocínio mas agora na manga da camisa, que está vaga desde a saída da Buser. A comitiva do Flamengo que viaja à Espanha, chefiada por Rodolfo Landim, deixou tudo bem encaminhado nesta quarta-feira

Pelo acordo com o atual patrocinador, o BS2, o Flamengo estava autorizado a receber propostas mesmo o acordo indo até o final de 2020. Por isso, o clube informou e passou a conversar com o atual patrocinador master para tomar uma decisão sobre as propostas feitas. Gustavo Oliveira, vice-presidente de comunicação e marketing, volta ao Brasil com a missão de negociar com o banco os moldes de rescisão ou até readequação do contrato para oficializar o acordo.
