O 23 de outubro de 2019 ficará marcado eternamente. Uma noite épica no Maracanã. Não foi uma simples vitória ou uma classificação rotineira. O Flamengo aplicou a pior goleada da história do Grêmio na Copa Libertadores em plena semifinal.

Lá no jogo de ida, em Porto Alegre, o empate foi visto como sabor de vitória pela equipe gaúcha. O espírito copeiro foi citado como grande trunfo do time de Renato Gaúcho. No entanto, era apenas um prelúdio do que viria a ser no Maracanã.

O Flamengo balançou a rede adversária 10 vezes em 180 minutos. Média de um gol a cada 18 minutos. Foram seis válidos e quatro anulados.

De nada bastou o Grêmio folgar seus titulares da rodada do final de semana do Campeonato Brasileiro. Sem contar que foram 12 dos 27 jogos com time inteiramente reserva. Quando mais precisou de fôlego, foi atropelado no segundo tempo de forma inapelável. É um feito que precisa ser estudado, o fato do Flamengo seguir com seus titulares todos jogos, dando prioridade a todas as competições e manter um ritmo intenso, de linhas altas que pressionam a saída de bola do adversário e ao mesmo tempo estrangula o adversário com a linha defensiva na altura do meio de campo.

Quando visitou o CT do Flamengo, a equipe médica disse a Jorge Jesus que havia um departamento de prevenção de lesões muito avançado e que o clube foi o time com menos lesões ano passado. Eis que Jorge Jesus questionou: “E quantos títulos vocês ganharam?”

E emendou: “Sabe qual foi o time que teve mais lesões ano passado? O Grêmio. Pra ser campeão você tem que jogar sempre no limite. Se não tiver jogando no limite, você não é campeão.”

Podem esperar que o método do Flamengo será bastante estudado pelos rivais. Vão querer acompanhar treinos, conhecer a parte fisiológica do clube, e o porque os jogadores lesionados voltaram tão rápido e como se nada tivesse acontecido.

Quando o Flamengo tem a bola, aí, meus amigos, é um show de técnica. É muita confiança, aliado ao talento. O resultado foi visto nessas duas partidas. Em Porto Alegre foram 57% de posse de bola. No Rio foram 59%. Um baile Rubro-Negro pra deixar claro e óbvia a disparidade das duas equipes e quem joga o melhor futebol.

Renato Gaúcho entrou em campo para jogar no contra-ataque, mesmo precisando de pelo menos um gol. Nem mesmo a equipe gremista, que sempre jogou com posse de bola e futebol ofensivo, teve coragem de buscar um jogo de igual para igual com o Rubro-Negro no Maracanã.

Michel formou uma trinca de volantes, que ainda contou com o zagueiro Paulo Miranda na lateral, em opção a Léo Moura. A ideia seria repetir a mesma formação da semifinal da Copa Libertadores do ano passado, conforme post aqui no Ninho, na vitória por 1 x 0 do Grêmio contra o River.

O Flamengo não entrou na armadilha gaúcha. Não começou o jogo pressionando, marcando pressão, como vinha sendo característica. Foi na base do toque de bola que o Rubro-Negro foi criando suas oportunidades, com destaque para o absurdo talento de Éverton Ribeiro. Foram duas cabeçadas de Gabigol e Bruno Henrique, um chute de Arrascaeta e Gabigol, até chegar o gol de Bruno Henrique, após finalização de Gabigol e defesa de Paulo Victor.

A jogada do gol foi iniciada em uma roubada de bola aos 42 minutos. A primeira recuperação do primeiro tempo. O Flamengo não perdoa erros do adversários.

O clube da Gávea voltou possuído no segundo tempo. Ao contrário da etapa inicial, a marcação já estava lá em cima. E rapidamente o Rubro-Negro ampliou o marcador. Foi uma atuação de gala! Alternando posse de bola, linha alta, contra-ataque. Colocou o Grêmio na roda para delírio do torcedor.

O Flamengo brincou de construir jogadas com a bola no pé, mas também na bola parada. Jorge Jesus deve ter visto muitos vídeos dessa falha de marcação da defesa gremista nas bolas paradas. Não era um escanteio ou falta dentro da área de qualquer maneira, foi na medida pros zagueiros escorarem no primeiro pau. Foram três gols dessa forma, porque o segundo do Gabigol saiu também dessa forma, no rebote, além dos gols de Pablo Marí e Rodrigo Caio.

Após 38 anos, o Flamengo está de volta à final da Libertadores. Uma noite histórica, de gala, que será eternamente lembrada.
