Basquete: Vitor Faverani e Leonardo Demétrio são os alvos do Flamengo

Vitor Faverani atuando pelo Celtics

Após a saída de Anderson Varejão, o Flamengo está de volta ao mercado para completar seu garrafão. Dois nomes surgiram nessa segunda.

O primeiro, informação do Garrafão Rubro Negro, seria do Leonardo Demétrio, 2,08cm, revelação do Minas, e estava atuando na Leb Oro, da Espanha. O jogador encaixaria no estilo desejado do Gustavo de Conti: versátil, rápido, jovem e joga em mais uma de posição, porém não seria o substituto natural de Anderson Varejão.

O segundo, dessa vez informação trazida pelo jornalista Lucas Rocha, de que o Vitor Faverani de 31 anos, estaria deixando a Espanha e vindo para a Gávea. O pivô está desde os 14 anos longe do Brasil, tem 2,11 cm e pode vir a ser uma ótima contratação se tiver recuperado das contusões no joelho.

Em 2014, Faverani operou o joelho e ficou de bora da temporada da NBA, quando defendia o Boston Celtics. Em 2016, novamente sofreu com o mesmo problema e foi cortado da seleção brasileira dos jogos olímpicos.

Nas últimas duas temporadas o pivô fez apenas sete partidas. Em 2018/2019, sequer entrou em quadra.

Caso esteja recuperado fisicamente, aí sim seria o jogador para substituir Anderson  Varejão e dominar o garrafão.

  1. Complicado né. Faverani 100% é certamente um jogador que daria um upgrade na posição, podendo somar mais do que o próprio Varejão.

    Mas o histórico de lesão dele dos últimos 4-5 anos é bem preocupante. Mas vamos ver.

    O Demétrio seria aposta né. Pode vingar muito ou ser reserva do Mineiro. Risco alto.

    Pelo visto não estão cogitando um quarto estrangeiro né.

Ele também contou que o Flamengo por muito pouco, há cerca de um mês, não fechou com o armador do Instituto de Córdoba, vice argentino e sul americano, carrasco do próprio Flamengo na última temporada. Trata-se do Santiago Scala, se bobear é melhor que o Balbi. O negócio provavelmente não saiu por conta da indefinição da situação do Varejão e da questão do 4º estrangeiro. Agora, mesmo que o Flamengo acerte com um pivô brasileiro, já não acertará com o Scala, pois este renovou por duas temporadas.
    Fica muito claro que o Flamengo vai tentar primeiro um pivô brasileiro, pra depois tentar mais um armador gringo.
    Falando do Varejão, este se casou no último sábado, em seu rancho em Cleveland, com aquela namorada americana que morava com ele aqui. Se bobear, depois do mundial ele fica por lá e encerra a brilhante carreira – só um palpite.
